Employer's Agent

The Employer's Agent role is similar to that of Contract Administrator in many ways. The main difference is that the Employer's Agent represents a client in a design and build contract. The appointment is essential to the success of the project, as it ensures that the Employer's expectations are achieved.

Employer's Agent

Design and Build transfers much of the risk in a construction project to the Contractor. Ideally, the Employer's Agent will be appointed as early as possible, to protect the Client's interests. Typically, our involvement begins pre-contract and continues through contractor selection and construction to project completion.

The Employer's Agent will prepare the Employer's Requirements documentation, assist in selecting potential contractors and review the Contractor's Proposals documents, which are the Contractor's tender. The selected Contractor will then be responsible for developing the design and for construction. Regular and effective communication at all stages ensures that all parties to the. project are focused on success.

As Employer's Agent, Rogerson Parry administer the contract and monitor construction work on a regular basis, certifying payments on the Employer's behalf. The Employer's Agent has a significant role to play in guiding the Employer in the design and build process.
