Contract Administration

Where the architect or designer is engaged for the design stage alone, standard forms of contract require a Contract Administrator to be appointed. We can undertake this role on your behalf. We have good contract knowledge and can address potential disputes before they become problem issues. We would also value the work in progress and establish completion criteria prior to handover.

Contract Administration

The Contract Administrator's role often begins with the Pre-Contract meeting but may sometimes be earlier. Contract administration requires good organisational skills and a methodical approach to record keeping.

The Contract Administrator is also responsible for supervising the work. This includes approving the quality of materials and workmanship and issuing instructions to the Contractor as work progresses. We provide regular reports to clients and chair progress meetings.

We often undertakes the roles of Quantity Surveyor and Principal Designer (CDM) in connection with this role. We consider this to be a cost-effective way of providing the administration services required on a project, especially for smaller and medium sized projects. We would be pleased to discuss the services that we offer you on your next project.
